  • Condition: This tea caddy is in decent antique condition. The overall form is good, and the handle and bowl aren't dented or otherwise damaged, but there are some spots of persistent tarnish, especially on the bottom of bowl where it meets shoulders, and some scratching, mostly on the bottom as well.

    Description

    This tea caddy spoon is 4" long and weighs 9 grams.  It has a sort of crenellated handle with  an engraved flower that tapers into a triple twist, before broadening out for the bowl and the shoulders; the wide shoulders are also decorated with floral engraving.
    It is marked for Dutch silver .833 of purity or higher, and made, I think, in Schoonhoven in 1923.  The maker's mark is somewhat blurry, but has an H as it's first letter.
    I have priced this keeping in mind the tarnish and the scratches.
